Remark or addition

  • The push up is a simple and effective exercise that can be used to build strength in the upper body, with emphasis on the chest and shoulder muscles. With the use of the compression blocks we can copy compression movement more efficiently, and will put more emphasis on our chest muscles.
  1. Lie face down on the floor with hands next to your shoulders one the slope of the compression blocks.
  2. Push down and raise the body up by extending the arms.
  3. Go back to the starting position by bending at the arms.
  4. Start with 3 sets of 5 reps.

Points of attention

  • Keep your body straight and your neck in line with your spine.

Progression Ladder

  • Perform a push up with the knees on the ground.
  • Elevate your feet to a higher position.
  • Add weight.
  • Use the more slopey side of the compression blocks.
